Final Entry, 2010-2011

Well, that's it...we're done! Congratulations to those of you who have graduated and to all of you who are going into your sophomore, junior, and senior years. You've done it!
This year has been weird, wild, and wonderful, with a few rough patches here and there, of course, but also a lot of laughter and learning. I can't say that I've loved every minute, but it's pretty darn close. I feel as though I have a much, much bigger family now...you all have enriched my (and each other's) life in many ways. I am honored to have been part of NCTHS, and no matter what the future brings, know that I am proud of all of you for what you have accomplished. In the immortal words of Christopher Robin to Winnie the Pooh, “Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
Now, have a safe and happy summer. I love you all. Hope to see you in the fall.

US History 10 Honors--Chapter 22 Answers

Thanks, Sabby! I planned to post my chapter 22 study guide answers, but then I flaked out. Here you go.

History 11--projects

I've gotten most of the projects now but a lot of you are missing a big part of it--the "further reading" section and the mini-essay. Here's the rubric--just the PowerPoint itself isn't going to be worth an A!  Remember, it's a 100 point test grade!

Requirements:
1. Visual elements included. This may include pictures and/or video clips.  (10 points) (5 points) (1 point)
2. Neatness  (10 points) (5 points) (1 point)
3. Sources cited (10 points) (5 points) (1 point)
4. List of 5 “further reading” references (you don’t have to use them, but they need to be provided). This can include a biography on your “Person of the Decade.”  Provide title, date of publication, and author’s name (if available) for each. (10 points) (5 points) (1 point)
5. At least 3 URLs (YouTube links are welcome!) (10 points) (5 points) (1 point)
6. Share your findings with the class (20 points)
7. Individual element: brief essay (no more than one page) describing the following:
What you found the most interesting/enjoyable about this project
What you found the most challenging about this project
Your contribution to the project
Your partner’s contribution to the project (if applicable)
  (30 points)
